MANILA, Philippines – Internet search giant Google launched here on Tuesday its Chrome web store, an open marketplace that aims to help users find and purchase web applications.
The web store includes several apps designed especially for Filipinos as well as those created by local developers.
Among them are music apps Pinoytuner and Terno Recordings, and the PBA app which provides basketball news.
There is also the My ABS-CBN app, which is intended as a supplement to programs and services offered by the Philippine multimedia conglomerate.
Google claims that more than 200 million people worldwide are using the Chrome browser.
