Charge chrome import prices in China held on Friday December 21, as Chinese buyers held out for Taigang’s latest domestic price announcement and South African producers anticipated higher numbers in the near future.
Metal Bulletin’s charge chrome index, cif Shanghai rolled over at 88 cents per lb.
“As far as I know, ferro-chrome producers are not actively selling cargoes this month, as they believe the prices will continue to go up in the next month,” an importer said.
