Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is back in action on Google Play, after being removed from active service following a problematic launch.

Despite a stress-free rollout on Apple’s App Store, the latest entry in Gameloft’s popular military shooter franchise arrived on Google Play firing blanks.

Early adopters of the Android version of Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour found that, like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City customers before them, they could not download or install their newly purchased game.

Within hours of Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour‘s launch, Gameloft pulled the game from Google’s app store, promising to re-activate the listing when “conditions are back to normal”.

Well, it seems like normality has been resumed, as Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is back on Google Play, this time in full working order.

We can also confirm that this Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning FPS supports the MOGA Mobile Gaming System peripheral. And given its dual-analogue stick, shoulder triggers, and four action buttons, the MOGA controller could make all the difference during one of those intense firefights.

You can download Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour from Google Play for £4.99 / $6.99 now. For reals, this time.
