The 16GB Nexus 4 can be bought on pay-as-you-go from Three for £399. It is also available for £29 on a two-year, £35 a month contract, called The One Plan, which comes with unlimited data, 2,000 minutes and 5,000 texts.

Google’s fourth smartphone is already on sale at Carphone Warehouse, O2 and the Google Play store. The Nexus 4 is available in 8GB and 16GB versions but Three, like O2, is only offering the 16GB device.

The 16GB model is also on sale through the Google Play store for £279 – but won’t be shipped for six to seven weeks.

The Nexus 4 went on sale in the UK on 13 November and sold out on the same day. It subsequently returned briefly to the Google Play store before selling out again. The device was revealed to be in short supply by LG last week.

The Nexus 4 has wireless charging, an 8-megapixel camera, and NFC capability. The device runs the latest Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.2, on a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass screen.
