After a protracted battle between Chrome Night club boss, Ladi Akindele and his landlord, Charles Ahize, the fun spot has reopened for business.
PPP gathered that upon Akindele’s complaints to the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, he ordered an inquest into why his Lagos-based monitoring unit could be used to seal up a building without his knowledge.
Last weekend, die hard patrons trooped in to have fun. However, Akindele has said that “contrary to reports in the tabloids, it is an insult to the office of the IGP to say he waded into a purely civil matter like this.
First of all, this building belongs to Prof Adebayo Adedeji, the Inspector General was just furious that his men in Lagos could be used to seal a building without his knowledge.
That was why he sent his men to come and disarm them and investigate the matter. We have all been summoned to see him on the 14th of December’, he explained.
