Joseph and Bonnie O’Brien of Cape Coral are the first recipients of the Envy Salon Yard of the Month award.
Isabel Perez and Felicia Taylor, owners of Envy Salon, found the need to give back to their community in a way that will bring a lift to the customers who have been keeping their salon going for more than 40 years.
“I love being outdoors working on my yard; it’s therapeutic,” Joseph O’Brien said.
“I noticed that even though a lot of residents of the Cape Coral community continue to get some help from lawn maintenance year-round, they are still out there day in and day out on their hands and knees getting dirty and keeping their homes beautiful with pride,” Perez said.
“We want to be able to show the residents of Cape Coral we appreciate their hard work and dedication in keeping the Cape beautiful,” Taylor said.
The Lee County Community Band will present its last concert of the season at 3 p.m. April 1 at Mariner High School.

They provide supplies such as toiletries, tents, batteries for lanterns, shoes and boots, etc. Finally, after the meal each week, they offer a prayer service for those who desire to participate. They also provide help for those transitioning from the street into permanent housing by collecting and delivering donated furniture and household goods.
